Introduction to Backbends

Saturday June 10th 12:30-2:30pm

Join Sarah for a introduction to back-bending! In this workshop you will learn how to safely enter and hold some of the most intimidating poses in yoga. A number of different backbends will be shown, along with modifications, tips on how to build strength in the posture, and how to work towards deeper flexibility. Breath, anatomy and benefits of the poses will be discussed as well. This class is suitable for beginners or those more advanced in their practice, however it is not recommended for those with back injuries/problems.


After Hours Dance Camp

Every third Wednesday 9-10pm

Join Julianne Harper for an evening of letting loose and shaking it off! For those that may be new to After Hours Dance Camp, beginners are welcomed and encouraged to attend! No dance experience necessary. Simply put, it’s a guided dance part for your and your friends-and the friends you will make! Inversions and Arm Balances

Join Kate for a fun afternoon of flipping upside down and balancing on your arms!
This 2.5-hour workshop will cover all there is to know about the proper foundation of arm and hand balancing. We’ll focus in depth on keeping the hands, wrists, and shoulders safe, as well as important exercises and stretches to build strength and recover from these poses. This class is for all levels, whether you’re an expert or have never gone upside down. Modifications for every pose will be given to help you learn your foundation, or challenge yourself with new variations! Feel free to bring a notebook and pen.
